PERFORMANCE REPORT 2007:
Adoption of measures
to implement UN GA 61/105
with respect to High Seas Bottom Fisheries

This performance report provides an assessment of the extent to which existing RFMOs or States involved in negotiations to establish new RFMOs have adopted measures to implement the provisions of UN GA resolution 61/105 with respect to bottom fisheries on the high seas.

The resolution calls on States and RFMOs to adopt and implement measures by the deadlines established in the resolution. Full implementation remains to be seen in 2008.
